RULES

 

  1. It's an international festival, and film or video makers from all over the world are welcomed to enter the competition with experimental works.

 

  1. The competition has the following prizes:

"Best shortifilm", granted with 1000 Euros
"Best visual work", granted with 500 Euros
"Most innovative script", granted with 500 Euros
"Public Prize", granted with a plaque

 

  1. The shorts may be submitted in VHS (PAL) or MiniDV (PAL) format, with a filled entry form. You can get the entry form directly in Vallecas Todo Cultura or opening it from our web page: www.vadevallecas.org/vpdc2004

 

  1. Films must not exceed teen (10) minutes in length, including credits tittles

 

  1. The deadline is: 1 October of 2004

 

  1. Each participant may submit a maximum of 3 works .

 

  1. All shorts must have been made later than August 2003

 

  1. Candidates will cover shipping costs to the Festival of VHS tapes. The bold inscription "NO COMMERCIAL VALUE FOR CULTURAL PURPOSE ONLY" is necessary on the package.

Internacional Experimental Video and Cinema Festival VALLECAS PUERTA DEL CINE

IV Edition   /  22 and 23 October of 2004

 

 

Vallecas Todo Cultura, a non profit association, pursuing its labor of cultural promotion and developement is organizing the fourth International Experimental Video and Cinema festival “VALLECAS PUERTA DEL CINE”

 

In orther to support the experimentation in the audiovisual field, it consist on a short competition and series of parallel activities.  These include lectures, discussion boards, meetings with well regarded professionals in the image domain and international short films projections. All the activities are free entrance.

 

The short film competition enclosed in the VALLECAS PUERTA DEL CINE festival will run according to the jointed rules.

 

What do we want?

 

Vallecas Todo Cultura, an organization with more than fifteen years of cultural experience, is promoting this fourth edition of the “International Experimental Film and Video Festival” challenging all the terrorial rules, trying to concentrate all the audacity of the new film and video makers.

 

This festival wants to establish itsef as a meeting point for short film creators, besides their storage or creation methods, film, video, animation, 3D or DV. European or foreing artists can show their works in the experimental image domain and accept the judgement made by an skilled jury, well aware of what’s going on this field.

 

Any place is good to present and taste piece of art. Vallecas will be good for being able to head a cultural and technological initiative, wich wil gather the works of a lot of enthusiastic creators.

 

With an international level collaboration with several organitations dedicated to short films, and with the help of Internet, we hope to cover a lot of ground. We want to offer the best short around the planet.
